Smoked Salmon Dip with Caviar
100g of Protein in this Amazing Snack, Great for Hosting or Hitting Macros
This is one recipe that you will want to make over and over again…. Have you ever tried SMOKED TROUT DIP at a high end seafood restaurant? Wellll, this snack has all the deliciousness of a high end seafood restaurant with benefits! Not only is it extremely appetizing with zero guilt but this recipe has a high protein, smoked salmon twist, that I served with Seed Oil Free Tips Chips cooked in Beef Tallow! Lots of delicious flavor and high protein nutrition which keeps you feeling fuller longer, and helps to easily reach macro goals. ~100g of Protein packed in a creamy, smokey, herby, savory, textured dip. Caviar is optional, I do recommend adding it for elevated hosting, but its definitely not needed if you are making this after a workout or food prepping. It stays good in the fridge for a 3-4 days, so it makes great leftovers, and easy to prep ahead of time.
Smoked Salmon Dip with Caviar and Tips Chips Cooked in Beef Tallow
So addicting and full of nutrition this dip will keep you coming back for more!
Ingredients
1 lb. Smoked Salmon from Dry Dock Fish
4 oz. Cottage Cheese (blended)
4oz. Plain Greek Yogurt (High Protein, I used Nancy's)
1/3 cup Parsley (rinsed, finely chopped)
1 Tbl. + 1 Tsp. Prepared Horseradish
1.5 Tbl Tamari
1 Tbl. + 1 Tsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
2-3 Tbl Shallots (finely chopped)
4-5 pieces of Parsley for garnish
1 oz. of Caviar
Preparation
Step 1: Start by blending the cottage cheese in the container with a hand blender until it has a whipped creamy texture and all the curds are blended in. Place the lid back on a hold in the fridge while you prep the next steps.
Step 2: Rinse and chop parsley, set aside. Chop Shallots, set aside.
Step 3: Remove salmon skin (if any) and rough chop the salmon.
Step 4: In a mixing bowl combine Greek Yogurt, Blended cottage cheese, parsley, shallots, horseradish, tamari, and lemon juice. Fold ingredients in together with a rubber spatula so the salmon remains slightly chunky in the mix.
Step 5: Place the dip in a storage container and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 6: In the meantime, place a small bowl on a serving platter. Sprinkle Tips Chips around the bowl on the platter.
Step 7: When ready remove dip from the fridge and place the dip in the serving bowl. Optional: top with caviar and a few pieces of parsley for garnish.
Enjoy!
